NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service.The Adjudications Division is responsible for conducting hearings on all parking and camera violations issued in the City of New York. We have Business centers in each of the five boroughs where we conduct in person hearings, in addition to conducting hearings by mail and by web.The Adjudications Division seeks to appoint 1 Hearing Officer to adjudicate parking tickets. The selected candidate will report to the Adjudications Division and may be assigned to various Business Centers located in the five boroughs. The candidates will be required to work three days a week and be available to work any day Monday through Friday.Candidates are expected to successfully complete a training course.Candidates must be interviewed and approved by the NYC Department of Investigation.
Minimum Qual Requirements
1. A license to practice law in the State of New York, which must be maintained; and2. Three years of recent satisfactory relevant legal experience subsequent to admission to the bar.
? Ability to work with the public. ? Excellent written and oral communication skills.? Computer skills are required.
