Position Summary:
The HRBP is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Essential Corporate Functions of this Role:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Employment:
  • Process Personnel Requisitions
  • Recruiting: posting – internal, newsprint, websites, social networking etc.
  • Resume/Application collection, screening and routing – ATS
  • Assist hiring managers with conducting phone interviews and reference checks
  • Coordinate interview scheduling
  • Coordinate Pre-Employment Screening – background checks, drug screenings, DMV reports
  • Prepare and issue offer letter packets, new hire paperwork, collect and review for completeness
  • Provide payroll department with new hire information to be entered into ADP
  • Work with temporary staffing agencies as needed / seasonal & temp help
  • Conduct new hire orientation
  • Update employee information in HRIS / ADP System
  • Develop HR specific training for employees, Performance Appraisal, etc.
Benefits Administration:
  • Assist with new hire benefits education and enrollment
  • Help conduct benefits meetings as needed
  • Update benefits in HRIS
  • Coordinate and facilitate annual open enrollments – Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA
  • Work with 3rd party administrator on administration and processing LOA / COBRA
  • Billing Reconciliation
Terminations:
  • Work with payroll to process and prepare termination requests
  • Assist managers with termination procedures and termination meetings as needed
Other HR Duties:
  • Workers Compensation administration and reports
  • Employment verifications, assist with internal I-9 audits
  • Maintain records of HR/Payroll offsite storage
  • Accurate creation and filing of HR/Payroll documents in employee personnel folders
  • Create and maintain HR forms
  • Assist the HR manager with employee relations issues and conflict resolution
  • Maintain and monitor labor law compliance
  • Investigate and respond to any claims
  • Able to fully back up other HR Representatives
  • Give input and support around employee related events

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
Work Environment:
  • This job operates within the corporate offices with occasional travel
Physical Demands:
  • May be required to work more than 8 hours during a workday
  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Significant manual dexterity for keying in data for long periods of time
Expected Hours of Work:
  • Must be available to work occasional off-hours
  • Must be available during standard business hours
Travel:
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and possible out-of-country travel may be expected.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
  • BS or BA Degree required
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of recent professional Human Resources experience; benefits or recruiting experience a plus
  • Advanced skills in Windows, Word, Excel, Internet and PowerPoint
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills - must be friendly, compassionate and approachable

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
