Directly: Logistics Lead

Indirectly: Logistics Manager


Responsible for analysis of all material and material conditions for ships assigned, this may include:
ILS planning
Technical Manual
ILS provisioning
Long Lead Time Material (LLTM)
Future Use Material (FUM).
Maintains a database for feedback and analysis of systems and processes in support of availability planning and execution programs and processes.
Any other duties as assigned by the Logistics Lead.

Minimum of four (4) years of experience performing the following U.S. Navy maintenance planning and execution of scheduled surface ship maintenance availabilities

Demonstrated knowledge of:
engineering technical instructions and processes
Overall quality assurance
NAVSEA Standard Items
Material ordering
Cost estimating
High School diploma/GED required. Related degrees preferred.
Knowledge of System Breakdowns and Hierarchical Structure Code (HSC) usage
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Programs
Excellent written and oral communication skills

MS Office
Program specific databases

Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and solution to meet program requirements.
Works with all departments to ensure best information and decision making processes are being utilized.
Predominately exercises independent judgment in the performance of duties consistent with directives, policies, standards and regulation.

A significant degree of discretion permitted within the boundaries of broad guidelines to achieve organization goals and contractual requirements within constraints set by senior management and organization policies.
Interpretation of guideline material and documented precedents and the application of judgement may be required in the determining of solutions to problems.

Engineering, Supply Chain, Navy, Equipment Suppliers and other as required.

The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance is required
Candidates must meet the following employment eligibility guidelines to be considered for employment with Austal USA:
18 years of age or older at time of application.
Able to provide proof of United States Citizenship
No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date
No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from disposition date
Willing to submit to a drug screen
Willing to submit to a background check
