Avanos seeks to hire a lawyer for the position of Assistant General Counsel. The position is based in Alpharetta and is part of the Legal Department. The position will report directly to the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel & Corporate Secretary.
Provide primary legal support to the global (i) Regulatory Affairs, (ii) Quality Assurance, (iii) Medical Sciences, and (iv) Compliance functions.
Provide advice relating to Government Affairs, including advocating on behalf of the company to FDA, CMS, and other government agencies.
Substantiate marketing claims for products and services.
Draft and negotiate healthcare-related agreements such as clinical trial agreements and other forms of agreements as necessary.
Manage litigation involving commercial, product liability, employment, and other types of disputes.
Conduct internal investigations.
Provide such other legal services as may be required for a global medical device company.
Technical Requirements :
J.D. degree and a member in good standing of at least one state bar.
At least 8 years of experience practicing as a lawyer at a law firm or in-house, with an emphasis on healthcare law, and preferably with experience relating to medical devices.
