Work with Kids – Begin a New Career
Advances Learning Center (advancesonline.com), one of the most respected autism services organization in the Greater Boston area, is looking for creative, animated individuals who are ready to begin a new career working with children and young adults with autism and other special needs. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with kids, is open to learning and being trained in our field, and can make learning fun!
Applicants with experience working in school, camp, afterschool program, daycare or pre-school as a paraprofessional, aide, counselor, camp counselor, teacher assistant, babysitter, nanny or educational assistant are encouraged to apply.
Work one-on-one with children and young adults with special needs
Receive close supervision and guidance from a licensed, board certified behavior analyst (BCBA)
Sessions are typically held at the client's home during after-school, evening, and/or weekend hours.
Receive excellent training to provide behavior therapy - to create lasting change for our kids and their families
Six months working with children - special needs experience preferred, but not required
Bachelor’s degree (or currently working toward degree) in Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Sociology, Health Science, Human Services preferred
ABA Instructors often work in a client's home, so access to reliable transportation is essential in most cases.
Willing to commit to at least a year.
At least 2 references must be Supervisors

We offer in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, social skills groups, parent training, center-based services and school-based services in the Greater Boston Area.
