State of Franklin Healthcare Associates is currently recruiting for a PRN, Echocardiography Technologist to work with our Walk-In-Clinic team.

The Echocardiography Technologist works under the direct supervision of a provider or other designated supervisor to produce images of the heart muscle and functioning by setting up ultrasound equipment, attaching electrodes to chest and equipment, operating and adjusting equipment, recording cardiac data and measurements, and assisting patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs echocardiography and vascular procedures as directed by physicians.
Prepares for examinations by checking room and equipment; inventorying and restocking supplies; reviewing patient schedules.
Reads physician orders for patient examinations.
Enters patient information into system.
Confirms patient identification before starting examinations.
Explains procedures to patient to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
Provides patient with appropriate gown or robe and proper instruction.
Assists patient to examination table; positions patient.
Selects appropriate transducer; attaches appropriate equipment.
Obtains quality images by positioning and repositioning transducer; monitoring display screen; listening to signals; adjusting equipment for beam strength and focus; recording images.
Records examination information by printing graphics and data; calculating measurements of heart wall, chamber size, blood flow direction and velocity; comparing measurements to norms.
Maintains ultrasound equipment.
Performs other related work as needed.
Compiles information and prepares reports.
Maintains records, reports and files.
Participates in educational activities.
Protects patients by adhering to safety policies and protocols.
Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Follows organizational policies and procedures, including State of Franklin Healthcare Associates Compliance Manual, Code of Ethics and Business Standards, HR Policies and Procedures Manual, Team Member Handbook, OSHA Manual and any other policies or procedures for the job function, department, location or clinic.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED; successful completion of an accredited program in diagnostic medical sonography.
One or more years of work experience in echocardiography and vascular technology.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid registry/certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (A.R.D.M.S.) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (R.D.C.S.); and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (C.C.I.) as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (R.C.S.); BCLS Certified or willing and able to be certified within a reasonable period.
