Miller Transfer is seeking a highly motivated, passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Logistics Recruiter. The position is based at our Corporate Headquarters located in Rootstown, Ohio. This is not a remote role.
Job Summary: The recruiter is responsible for the lead generation, recruitment and retention of company drivers, owner operators, and experienced fleet owners. Also, the position is responsible for managing the candidate experience, your the leader of first impressions with the driver candidates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Explore creative methods of sourcing qualified contractors and company drivers.
- Recruit and retain company drivers, owner operators and fleet owners
- Conduct telephone and in person interviews daily with prospective candidates, to gather and analyze information skillfully to pre qualify applicants.
- Complete background checks , MVR, and DAC reports.
- Review and process applications of prospective hires and determine if the applicant is qualified.
- Complete pre-hire files and paperwork on applicants.
- Process all DOT required verifications into drivers backgrounds to ensure they meet requirements for a CDL truck driver.
- Minimum Requirements:
- Professional positive attitude
- Able to work on site in office 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
- Passionate about building relationships
- Excited about the trucking industry
- 1+ years of experience in recruiting within the transportation industry
- Basic Knowledge of DOT Driver qualifications regulations
- Experience and knowledge with applicant tracking software. We utilize specifically Tenstreet and Intelliapp features.
- Proficient with MS Office
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities with strong attention to detail
- ·Proven track record of success in recruiting strategies and programs
