CPS is searching for a full-time Admissions Coordinator to ensure that all aspects of the admissions process run smoothly within assigned programs for prospective/incoming students. This position will report to the Director of Admissions for CPS. This position provides customer service to candidates and manages the prospective student relationship from the prospect stage through enrollment stage. The core responsibilities of this role are typically to answer routine inquiries over the phone, online, and in person, to provide information to prospective students on basic academic program offerings and admission requirements, to process, review for completeness, and track new applications, to maintain data in systems, to prepare for and participate in admissions events that represent the Admissions function, like interview days and visits, and to maintain schedules.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
Preliminary assessment of an applicant’s academic transcripts, qualifications, and other required documents to ensure that university and program guidelines/standards are maintained, and to determine eligibility for admissions.
Communicating with other university offices such as the offices of financial assistance, registrar, student services, deans, marketing and recruitment, and international services to ensure coordinated and comprehensive services to applicants and admitted students.
Researching and resolving unusual or complex admissions issues by consulting with the Director of Admissions and other university officials as appropriate.
Advising international applicants of the admissions process. Preparing I-20s and other documentation for international applicants as required.
Referring decisions for admissions or denial to support staff to produce appropriate correspondence based on recommendation of program contact or admissions committee.
Performing other work related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 1.5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Strong organizational skills.

Proficient inTargetX/Salesforce, Banner, and Microsoft Office Suite and/or ability to learn new systems quickly are preferred.

Bachelors degree preferred.
