The Quality Assurance Specialist assures that care is provided in accordance with agency and health system’s values, vision, mission, goals, policies and procedures, and State, Federal and the Joint Commission guidelines. He or she will be responsible for the ongoing review of current and discharged patient charts to assure compliance with home health requirements, agency philosophy, and established policies/standards of professional practice and be available to teach and mentor staff in day to day OASIS accuracy and clinical documentation for compliance with Medicare and Medicaid standards. Work with management to troubleshoot current issues and implement solutions. Manage ADR requests, appeals process, and record review.
Associates degree in Healthcare is required; minimum requirement is LPN. Minimum 1 year experience in Home Health required. Knowledge in State and Joint Commission regulations and standards. Professional License with State of Practice required.
