Trailer Mechanic
Dick Lavy Trucking is looking for a team oriented individual, capable of performing preventive maintenance services and general repairs on our dry van trailers. Position is located in Bradford, Ohio.
Job Duties:
- Repairs and required preventive maintenance of trailers
- Inspect, trouble shoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepares safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company and any other Federal, State or Local regulations
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals
- Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in air brakes diagnostics and repair, electrical systems, and body and rail repairs
- Experience in a team orientated shop environment
- Welding experience
Must have own tools.
Scheduled Hours:
- 1st and 2nd shift available
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
