SPAARK is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Insider Threat Editor/Writer to join our team, focusing on the documentation and communication aspects of insider threat analysis within the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In this role, you will play a vital part in crafting reports, documentation, and communications related to insider threat incidents and mitigation efforts. This position is temporary and limited to 312 hours up to 14 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation Creation:

Collaborate with the insider threat analysis team to create clear, concise, and well-organized documentation related to insider threat incidents, investigations, and risk assessments.

Develop comprehensive reports detailing insider threat trends, patterns, and recommended actions for HUD stakeholders.
Editing and Proofreading:

Review and edit written materials for grammar, style, clarity, and accuracy, ensuring that all documents meet SPAARK's high standards.

Verify that technical information is communicated effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Communication Support:

Assist in the development of executive-level communications, including reports, briefings, and presentations, to convey insider threat insights and recommendations to senior management.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate technical findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Content Management:

Maintain and organize a centralized repository of documentation related to insider threat incidents, investigations, and mitigation strategies.

Ensure that documentation is easily accessible and up-to-date for internal and external reference.
Quality Assurance:

Ensure the consistency and accuracy of all written materials, adhering to SPAARK's writing guidelines and best practices.

Conduct quality assurance checks on final reports and documents before distribution.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, cybersecurity experts, and incident responders, to gather information and insights for documentation.

Participate in meetings and discussions to stay informed about ongoing insider threat activities.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Completed Insider Threat Mitigation Training

Proven experience as a technical writer, editor, or similar role, preferably in a cybersecurity or IT context.

Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to translate technical information into clear, understandable language for non-technical audiences.

Familiarity with insider threat detection and cybersecurity terminology is advantageous.
