Full Job Description
CGI is seeking an individual for a Part time position on our Fixed Asset team in the General Ledger department. CGI Federal provides a dynamic and exciting environment to learn and grow.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The fixed asset assistant is an entry level position with primary responsibilities including keeping the sub-ledger current and tied to the general ledger. Additional detail work includes reviewing asset additions to ensure they are recorded in accordance with CGI Federal policies and other asset systems. Disposals and transfers will need to be recorded in the Fixed Asset sub-ledger. Candidate will learn about different asset types, lives, and recording such in compliance with CGI policy and IFRS accounting standards, as well as work with various modules of the Costpoint accounting system..
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Associates degree and 0-1 years of experience or equivalent experience in lieu of education. The successful candidate should be able to work with diverse teams, and understand how their function impacts CGI Federal reporting.
Professional communication skills, experience with excel required. Costpoint experience would be a plus.
