Position Summary: The Promotion Analyst is responsible for serving as point of contact for the Marketing Category teams as it relates to Promotional Data. Responsible for the oversight of all promotions and offers that support financial accounting and reporting, marketing pricing strategies at any channel level (store, online, 3rd party). Manage the SAP Rebate functionality across the organization. Manage vendor relationships to achieve optimal pricing and promotional execution performance. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders to develop and publish article promotion data, business rules and processes that support and ensure operational and analytical efficiency of the organization.

Principal Duties:
Manage all promotions of retail and corporate articles within promotional systems. Manage implementation of promotion strategy in the AMS systems to support marketing categories. Oversee synchronization of all databases to ensure seamless execution of promotion through Wawa’s Multi-Channel strategy. Conduct database audits up to 4X’s a year with internal and external auditors. Responsible for database accuracy, integrity and quality.
Manage the SAP Rebate functionality process working with Marketing, Strategic Sourcing and Finance. Integrate the process into the procedures for the update and maintenance of article data, while providing a clear picture of profitability at the store, category and product level. Act as a subject matter expert from a configuration and training perspective with a corporate understanding of pricing and promotional data and how it ties together for all departments.
Manage article groupings for article pricing and promotions. Align pricing strategies and site groups to ensure proper pricing by store, price zone, purchasing organization and channel. Assess ongoing new store pricing and promotional assignments.
Manage relationships with external and internal vendors and departments to ensure accurate article promotion information. Interact with Marketing, Accounts Payable, Inventory Management, Retail Accounting, Tax Department, POS and IT Teams and the Marketing Call Center to resolve any anomalies.
Test and validate all AMS promotional configuration, design and yearly upgrade changes and technology solutions as it pertains to Promotions. Create and maintain all test scripts. Document all related Article Promotion Data policies, procedures, configuration and process flow. Configure and customize the systems to allow for ongoing changes necessary to accommodate Wawa’s strategic initiatives. and marketing pricing strategies.
Develop and maintain all metric reporting for the Master Data Team including, but not limited to, the identification of appropriate data points required to measure new business processes. Collaborate with the department manager to generate system reports that analyze trends and identify areas where performance falls outside of departmental standards and database accuracy.
Accountable for the data standards, accuracy, completeness, timeliness of article promotion collection and management. Responsible to comply with business standards and procedures, as well as work to continuously improve data standards, quality, and processes.

Minimum Requirements

Basic Requirements:
Bachelor degree preferred
SAP, AMS or other Pricing Systems experience strongly preferred
3-5 years relevant experience in pricing
Strong competence in Microsoft Office suite, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience in process-based work in a cross functional role.
