This is a unique opportunity to gain broad experience, have significant responsibility for a variety of projects and engage with key decision makers. The Digital Analytics Intern will be responsible for developing analyses, scorecards and key performance indicators around a digital preferred customer. This role will assist the organization with gleaning data driven insights that lead to meaningful action.
The Digital Analytics Intern will report to the Director FP&A as a part of the Financial Planning and Analysis team. There are no direct reports reporting into this role.
Analyze web traffic and site behavior, website's key performance metrics indicators (KPIs) using Google Analytics data. Derive for customer and business insights to support business decisions and drive on improved customer site experience.
Assist with user acceptance testing and participate in the development of requirements for and implementation of necessary website tagging through Google Tag Manager.
Provide general troubleshooting assistance for analytics reporting and analysis.
Ensure consistent tracking, analysis, and reporting of core website and marketing channel KPIs in weekly dashboards.
Conduct audits and perform quality assurance checks to guarantee clean data.
Analyze and report on effectiveness of marketing channels and programs.
Build and maintain customized daily, monthly and quarterly reporting dashboards ranging from high level executive summaries to in-depth metric specific analyses.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure best practices in metrics and data based decision-making are being adopted. Be proactive in analyzing customer behavior using available data to influence changes on the website.
Automate recurring reports to increase department and organizational efficiency.
Analyze business issues related to online customer service, e-commerce and branding.
Develop various internal ad hoc requests and projects to assist and support Senior Management and peers.
The intern can be a college student working toward a B.A. or B.S. Degree in Finance or Analytics.
Experience in digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture.
Knowledge of actionable statistical techniques that can be applied to web data is preferred but not required. These techniques include: Bootstrapping, t-tests, Fisher tests, chi-squared analysis, binomial, poisson, and gaussian distributions, A/B testing, bandit algorithms.
Ability to work in a rapidly evolving environment and quickly grasp new concepts by demonstrating and applying knowledge of these tasks timely and accurately.
Establishes and maintains effective relationships by collaborating with customers by fully understanding and meeting their expectations.
