RISE for Autism seeks energetic, dedicated Behavior Technicians to deliver high quality Applied Behavior Analysis therapy, assist with social skills groups, and implement Therapeutic Integration programs to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs). Under the supervision, direction, and guidance of the Director of Programming, Coordinators, and/or Case Supervisors, the Behavior Technician will provide one-to-one and small group interventions to teach communication, social, recreational, and functional living skills.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationships by building rapport and pairing oneself as a reinforcing entity;
  • Prompts safe and socially acceptable behaviors to build communication, social interaction, and daily living skills;
  • Fades prompts to build successful independent skills;
  • Provides direct therapy in individual and group sessions;
  • Implements evidence-based teaching procedures including but not limited to: discrete trial teaching (DTT), natural environment teaching (NET), prompt and prompt fading, shaping, chaining, mand training, and structured teaching;
  • Accurately collects and graphs data including ABC, frequency, interval, duration, latency, cold probe, etc.;
  • Collaborates with Director, Coordinators, Supervisors, and other team members to provide effective treatment;
  • Maintain the professional and ethical standards in the center;
  • Maintains respect and confidentiality for all clients;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma;
  • Background check clearance upon hiring;
  • At least 1 year experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders in home, clinical, community, or school settings;
  • Training in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively on a team;
  • Record of success in previous positions as evidenced by excellent references;
  • Highly organized and detail oriented;
  • Afterschool and weekend availability for at least 6 hours per week

Desired Qualifications

  • Coursework in ABA, psychology, education, social work, human development, or related field preferred;
  • Interest in pursuing a Registered Behavior Technician credential preferred

Salary: $14.00 to $20.00 /hour
