Provides strategic assistance and administrative support to the Vice President for University Advancement and the University President in the cultivation, development and stewardship of Executive Portfolio prospects. Performs a variety of executive level support duties, including coordinating the schedule of the Vice President and working closely with the Office of the President on scheduling and stewardship of principal gift level prospects. Coordinates special events for the Vice President’s Office; attends and assists with off-campus events as requested. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s degree and five years of fundraising or development-related professional experience. Must have PC experience utilizing word processing spreadsheet and database applications. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality on a wide range of issues. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively across a broad spectrum of internal and external constituencies. Ability to travel off-campus, as required.

Experience in higher education fundraising, with an understanding of academic, research and education functions and operational principles in a major research university. Capital campaign experience. Experience utilizing prospect tracking systems.
