What would I be doing?
The internship program at Pinnacle Entertainment is a career development program designed for college students working towards their bachelor’s degree, or recent graduates. This paid internship will allow participants to gain practical, hands-on work experience and develop career potential in the HR field. During this time, students will be exposed to a number of real-life work experiences, which may include:
Working on projects related to key business priorities determined by their home properties
Exposure to property and company senior leaders
Rotating through critical functional areas
Participating in company-wide training programs, and attending executive team meetings
Providing support to Functional Leaders and General Managers
Building relationships with department leaders, executive team, supervisors, and employees
Developing and presenting a final project to the executive team which may be used to influence business strategy moving forward
This internship will truly help students prepare for a successful career in the HR industry and provide many great opportunities for growth!

As needed conduct preliminary interviews and assist with seasonal talent recruiting
Assist with internal and external job fairs.
Greet all visitors to the HR office and assist with team member questions.
Provide guidance and assistance to applicants, team members and leadership as needed.
Input all new hire, transfers, promotions, salary changes, reviews, terms, PAF’s into Infinium
Ability to Facilitate engaged training
Create and modify reports as needed; generates periodic reports such as transfer, termination reports as required, daily, weekly, or monthly.

File Room Management
Participation in HR Hot Topics, Leadership Meetings
Learning & Development Project Assistance
Team Member Appreciation Events
Maintain a strict level of confidentially in all matters of sensitive nature regarding team members or disciplinary actions, appraisals, salary information, and all team member records.
Special projects as required.
Fulfill other duties as directed by the Director of Human Resources and or the HR Business Partner.
What are we looking for?
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Enrolled in, or graduate of an accredited university with an interest in HR operations. or the internship focus area (e.g. marketing, finance, etc.)
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Letter of recommendation from a past or current professor or past supervisor
Available for the duration of the program for a minimum of 20hrs a week, working varied shifts including holidays and weekends
Excellent customer service skills.
Must have advanced computer skills.
Must be a great team player.
Must have experience completing special projects.
Must have excellent planning and organizational skills.
General office experience preferred.
Knowledge of HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems is a plus.
Ability to effectively communicate with all level of team members.
Ability to complete detailed paperwork.
Ability to research, analyze, comprehend, and act upon information as appropriate.
Ability to perform effectively work in a faced pace environment.
Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
