CIB Infrastructure Service - Project Manager

The End User Technology team within the CIB Production Management - Infrastructure Services organization is responsible for managing the CIB desktop and related services. Responsibilities include migrations to virtual desktops (VDI), eliminating unnecessary cost from end user products and related services, providing reports to LOB’s on product billing/inventory/volumes, and partnering with GTI on solutions to upgrade and transform the CIB Desktop to next generation products.

The project manager role within the End User Technology function supports business across all of CIB – including Technology, Operations, CAO, Front Office Business and Support functions. The candidate will have a proven multi-year track record in project management with good understanding of finance and business management, and ideally experience in operating across global multiple business units to influence technology selection and behaviors.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Improve data reporting capabilities by partnering with LOB contacts, and finance teams from CIB and GTI - to update and provide timely reports on billing, inventory and volumes
Partner with Global Technology (GTI) and F&BM to support desktop migrations and escalate and resolve issues as appropriate
Communication & Stakeholder Management
Regular project status reporting including risk and issue management

  • Experience with technology and project management office teams within global financial institutions
  • Experience working with teams across multiple regions and countries, enabling a ‘one team’ culture and a positive working environment, respecting the cultures and capabilities across locations
  • Experience and proven track record in stakeholder management, partnership and project governance
  • Proven history of governing technology solutions to meet aggressive and ambitious business agendas with the appropriate quality, timeliness, stability, cost effectiveness and sustainability
  • Excellent problem solving skills, ability to quickly broker solutions and resolve conflict situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
Ability to gather customer/user requirements; simplify complex topics for non-technical audiences and prepare quick pointed summaries for executives and stakeholders
Strong analytical skills
Hands on experience with large datasets and ability to manipulate / convert data into actionable reporting.

MS Excel (tables, pivots, vlookups, calculation formulas, etc.)
MS PowerPoint (tables, images, waterfalls, etc.)
A mindset for risk and control compliance to departmental and companywide standards of financial control and budget management
Knowledge of industry standard project management tools for financial and project reporting
An understanding of company standard technology drivers is a plus

Experience presenting metrics to key stakeholders
Excellent oral and written communication skills across functions and teams, up and down the chain of command
