The Department of Computational and Systems Biology at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Data Scientist to work on developing computational pipelines for the analysis of genomic data from immunotherapy clinical trials.

The data includes bulk and single-cell RNAseq, exome sequencing, and epigenetics. The candidate will work in close collaboration with Drs. Zarour (cancer immunology, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center) and Chikina (Computational and Systems Biology) at the University of Pittsburgh.

Other projects may include building resources to host, visualize and analyze clinical and omics data and perform integrative network analysis.

Education Required Baccalaureate Minimum Related Experience Level Required Less than 1 year experience Additional Education and/or Experience Essential to the Position
B.A./B.S. degree in Computer Science, Statistics or related technical or scientific discipline. Experience with NGS pipelines. Requires independent thinking, resourcefulness, and foresight. Requires clarity and precision in explaining the use of software packages to others.
