We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Research Technician to work in a muscle biology and disease laboratory at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Binghamton University.

The applicant filling this position should have at least a Bachelor degree. Preference will be given to applicants with a degree and/or training in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biology, Physiology, Pharmacology, and/or Genetics. One to two years of general lab experience is expected. The successful candidate will perform a variety of laboratory procedures including cell culture, laboratory animal maintenance and experimentation, PCR, DNA and protein gel electrophoresis, Western blotting, cryosectioning, microscopy, and image processing/analysis. Assistance with laboratory safety, equipment maintenance, and ordering is also expected.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's required
General laboratory experience
Ability to perform basic laboratory techniques
Good organizational and communication skills

Additional Information:Salary Range:
$30,000 to $33,000 annually depending on experience. Full-time, 12 month position.
