How you will impact Ingevity We are looking for a visionary Business Development Manager who will identify target markets and applications, and lead our innovation pipeline. You’ll need to have a strong technical background and understanding of market analysis and trends, connect applications and chemistry, and navigate market segments to identify unmet customer needs. You will work closely with our technology team and manage projects. We are looking for an experienced individual with a proven track record that can develop a strong business plan, outlining key opportunities, and leading our innovation investments. This individual should be curious and determined, technically savvy and with the ability to meet and develop relationship with customers and other industry experts to dig out value added opportunities. This position will have great visibility and opportunity to develop internal and external networking with plenty of opportunities for a career growth. Be ready to lead the new and complex! Deliverables Develop network of professionals, academics, consultants, and customers. Develop a robust pipeline of new products, new opportunities, develop business cases, and lead innovation pipeline. Identify potential alliances in line with the long-term business strategy and company purpose. Complete and maintain project plans for all key programs including tactical and strategic recommendations. Drive global business growth through collaboration with our commercial and technical teams. Be a safety steward. What you need to succeed University degree in science. Advanced technical or business degree is a plus. 10+ years of experience in technology and sales with specialty chemical manufacturers. Ability to quickly build rapport and trust with customers and prospects. Strong technical, commercial, strategic, and marketing mindset and toolbox. Experience with new product development. Proven ability to take projects from idea to commercial success. Proven skills for cross-functional innovation pipeline management. Strong listening, technical learning ability and dot connector. Be curious, bold, resilient, resourceful, optimistic, and energetic. Expected to travel up to 70% domestically and internationally.
