As a Private Wealth Management Transition Specialist, you will:
Be responsible for transitioning veteran Financial Advisors, and their Client Specialists. This includes working with the Financial Advisors and their Client Specialists from first day hire through to their independence in both new branch and existing branch settings. Also responsible for on-site assistance with new branch office openings. The position requires a thorough knowledge of the industry, Financial Advisor and Client Specialist practices, branch operations and compliance requirements, as well as Baird policy and procedures. The Transition Specialist has an intense travel schedule (90% travel). The role requires that the Transition Specialists are on-site in Baird’s branch offices throughout the US.
Facilitate and administer the Financial Advisor Transition Program. Implementation of this program requires the following:
Create a customized training program for the FA and CS using FA Profile, Competitive Intel, and contact with the Milwaukee home office
Provide on-site training of Baird systems, procedures, compliance and culture.
Introduce Baird’s products and services as the FA’s business necessitates.
Assist with account opening and documentation • After initial transfer, obtain open areas for training, and follow up with the FA and CS.
Track on-going and follow up communication
On-site assistance to open new branch offices:
Facilitate Client Relationship Assistant training.
Implement Financial Advisor Transition Program as described above.
Act as a liaison to the Transition Team Manager, FA Transfer Manager, , and other Regional Transition Specialists
Work with Transition Team manager, FA Transfer Manager, and other Transition Specialists to improve FA Transition Program efficiency and process.
Responsible for maintaining a high level of knowledge about Baird’s products and services, as well as branch procedures.
Receive direction from other Regional Transition Specialists in regards to process and priority during each transition.
Provide accurate and detailed instructions to Transition Account Assistants in regards to process and priority as needed.

What we look for:
Bachelor’s degree preferred and minimum of three to five years prior financial services industry and/or training experience.
Series 7 & 66 license or ability to become licensed within 6 months of accepting position.
Must have the ability to travel 90% of the time with occasional weekend travel.
High degree of comfort with presenting information to groups.
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, Thomson ONE ideally.
Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment and work in situations with little supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to effectively exchange ideas and information and relate to others in order to accomplish work responsibilities.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment as well as working independently
Communicate, identify and mitigate client issues in a proactive and positive manner in order to meet client needs that result in high client satisfaction
Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail required and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. This may include delegating duties to other Regional Transition Specialist or the Transition Account Assistants.
