United Way Miami, Inc. is hiring an Associate Director, Data Governance and Business Intelligence to join our team. As Associate Director, Data Governance and Business Intelligence you will ensure adherence to United Way’s Data Governance framework and business rules. Develops consumer-ready data analysis for various stakeholders across several teams. Assures correctness in data sharing and provides ad-hoc business intelligence solutions for new initiatives. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate data governance and business intelligence into organizational strategies, enhancing data-driven decision-making to support the organization's mission.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Governance Framework and Management: Develops, implements, and manages the Data Governance Framework and business rules. Supports the timely and accurate processing of workplace campaigns, individual donors, volunteers, and event data into the CRM database via data imports, understanding the upstream and downstream data impact.
- Data Quality Monitoring and Documentation: Continuously monitors data quality and actions of Data Stewards within various teams to ensure compliance with governance business rules. Identifies improvement opportunities, implements corrective actions to resolve data quality issues, creates and maintains documentation and standard operating procedures, and provides input on formal training materials while supporting ad-hoc training sessions.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Conducts data discovery and mining via queries, acting as a subject matter expert for data availability, quality, and analysis. Designs and develops in-depth data analysis to provide actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization, supporting informed decision-making.
- Self-Service Analytics and Reporting: Enables self-service analytics by assisting with SAS software data pulls and creating Power BI/Andar dashboards and reports. Works with business units to identify needs, translate requirements into technical specifications, and implement reports and dashboards that translate data into meaningful and actionable insights for end-users

Requirements
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Experience Requirements: Three to five years of experience in data management, analysis, and reporting
Technology Requirements: Data savvy with intermediate Excel skills, Andar experience is preferred.
Other Essential Knowledge/Skills: Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task. Strong customer service skills are required. The Spanish language is not a requirement but helpful.
