Full Job Description
The scope of this position is to assist in providing administrative management and support to the Field Education Office for BSW and MSW programs located on the Lawrence and Edwards campus. This position reports to the Director of Field Education. The position can be based on either the Lawrence or Edwards campus; or remotely at the Field Director and Dean’s discretion. Periods of frequent regional travel are required to meet with students, field instructors, and field liaisons at the different campus locations and to make agency visits.
Because of fluctuations in BSW and MSW student enrollments and other demands on the Field Education Office, flexibility in work assignments related to the placement of students and support of field education programming is necessary. The scope of the liaison and instructional role are contingent on curriculum developments and student enrollment. In some years, the projected percentages of work assignments may vary. Extensive communication with students, agency field instructors, agency personnel, field liaisons, faculty, and School of Social Welfare staff is an ongoing requirement of this position. Effective collaboration with all members of the Field Education staff is essential.
