Job Summary:
As a Physician Assistant, you will provide comprehensive patient care in both the clinic and hospital settings. You will collaborate closely with our supervising physicians to deliver top-notch care to our patients. Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, including pre-operative assessments, post-operative care, and assisting in surgeries.
Key Responsibilities:

Review lab results, x-rays, and MRI/CT results prior to patient exams.

Record patient history and discuss findings with the supervising physician.

Obtain and prepare equipment for exam room procedures.

Administer therapeutic injections and perform minor procedures in the clinic.

Review pre-operative instructions and explain the surgical process to patients.
-
Provide diagnosis and treatment services to established and post-operative patients.

Develop your own practice and coordinate appointment schedules.

Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with protocols.

Formulate and update patient care plans, consulting with physicians as needed.

Order pre-operative tests, CT scans, and MRIs.

Conduct hospital consultations and make rounds on behalf of supervising physicians.

Assist surgeons in the operating room and adhere to hospital documentation requirements.

Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and practice guidelines.

Stay current with practice management software and other job-related technology.
Qualifications:

Education: Physician Assistant degree required.

Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a high-volume clinic or hospital setting, with specific experience in orthopedic care.

Certifications/Licenses: Current SC Physician Assistant licensure.

Skills and Abilities:

In-depth knowledge of Physician Assistant theory and practice.

Familiarity with organizational policies, regulations, and patient care procedures.

Ability to make independent decisions regarding patient care.

Proficiency in managed care basics and basic knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to recommend solutions.

Capacity to maintain quality control standards and perform diverse tasks simultaneously.
