Our Program:

Change your future and take this opportunity to be trained in a growing firm that will introduce you to the “real world” of Financial Planning without the pressure of generating new business. Our program is extremely demanding but incredibly rewarding! You will spend 2 years in the central Connecticut area working with our team of professionals. During your program, you will have exposure to over 2,000 client appointments, 7 successful financial advisors and several other Advisors-in-Training. AdviceOne is also home to a successful nationwide coaching program for other wealth management firms, and you’ll have the opportunity to attend – and even speak! – at these sessions. We want to focus on challenging your limits and exploring your potential. At the end of your program, you will be fully prepared to start a successful career with AdviceOne as a Financial Advisor!

Throughout your Advisor-in-Training program, you will:

  • Receive comprehensive training on building relationships, managing wealth and turning a profitable practice into a thriving business
  • Immediately interact with high net worth individuals
  • Focus on individual development through hands-on training with our Advice team on a variety of topics such as: how to deliver presentations, how to become referable and how industry trends affect the planning process
  • Assist current advisors in preparing for meetings by reviewing and analyzing client accounts, reports and presentations
  • Review and interpret clients’ estate planning documents
  • Act as an Associate Wealth Manager during client appointments, taking detailed notes and holding advisors to their promises to clients
  • Have exposure to public speaking with the opportunity to master the art
  • Lead data gathering meetings to obtain client information
  • Conduct meetings to facilitate the signing of paperwork and asset movement with clients
  • Create asset allocation models
  • Obtain Series 65 and 66 registrations and CFP® designation

What Does an Ideal Candidate Have?

  • 4-year college degree
  • Professional demeanor and outgoing personality
  • Excellent communication skills for establishing and building client relationships
  • Ability to influence change in systems
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Flexible work schedule with evening availability
  • Previous financial industry experience NOT required
