Help dream up the future of exceptional products & experiences from Starbucks. This job contributes to Starbucks success by leading the planning, development and testing of innovative new products such as Nitro Cold Brew system, solutions that alleviate complexity and improve productivity for store partners and helps us achieve our sustainability goals.
In this role, you will work on high priority, high impact projects including:
‘Focus on the Magic’ Strategy:
Support a deep-dive of key enablers for the new USLT plan to elevate partner-customer connection (i.e. Tryer testing for beverage production, developing a scorecard for assessing store tasks, etc.)
White Space – Use HCD methods to identify and exploring drill-sites for our long-term innovation pipeline
Lead Opportunity Assessments for early stage innovation such as Rapid Thaw, Hot Hold etc.

- Strategy Building | Independently gather and synthesize multiple data sources and research (including business, customer and partner) and leverage those insights to develop strategies and recommended paths forward
- Innovation Mindset | Leverage HCD tools to drive discovery work, with an open-minded approach to problems, and ability to lead XF teams through often ambiguous path to market
- Business Acumen | Develop and assess business case opportunities at all stages of equipment development; manage conversations surrounding financial levers and able to articulate impact to project viability and path to market
- Key Project Leadership | Lead multiple XF teams to advocate for projects and drive deliverables for White Space TBD, Rapid Thaw, and Hot Hold
Progressive experience in brand management, 3-5 years
Strong project leadership in a cross-functional environment, 3-5 years
Proficient in Human Centered Design (HCD), 1-2 years
Progressive experience leading the development and implementation of new or existing products or strategies
Strong business acumen and analytical skills
Interest in technology/equipment/engineering
Strong organization and planning skills
Strong presentation skills
Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to influence others
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
