Position Description
Review subcontractors for regulatory compliance and contractual requirements, resolve borrower disputes or concerns with subcontractors and resolve subcontractor concerns on operational, technical and regulatory issues, while adhering to all Federal, State and local laws and regulation as well as company and client policies and procedures.
Essential Functions Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Aid in ensuring all ICR and ED polices are carried out
  • Make certain all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations are followed
  • Evaluate and suggest improvements in operations, procedures, policies and methods
  • Perform Quality Control reviews on sub-contractors which includes a quarterly desk audit
  • Complete any special reviews such as proper documentation, sending RAL’s at the appropriate time, and AWG initiation being adhered to if applicable
  • Confirm the subcontractors are enforcing regulatory and procedural changes
  • Ensure subcontractors are following new procedures
  • Balance or reconcile any portfolio inventory or data
  • Monitor consumer complaints placed on the subcontractors and see that they are resolved
  • Ensure all consumer cease & desist requests are being honored and notated in the system
  • Make certain any daily, weekly and monthly reports are being submitted by each subcontractor and placed in the proper system folder
  • Work with other departments to ensure all information is received or sent to the subcontractors
  • Complete and submit monthly subcontractor score card
  • Ensure annual reports such as insurance, financials or licenses have been received and reviewed by the appropriate area of ICR and be responsible for the developing and tracking of information
  • Be the main point of contact for all of the above listed activities with subcontractors
  • Will not respond to subcontractors on matters not related to responsible areas or make any decisions that are not within the scope of responsibility.

  • Other duties that may or may not be subcontractor related, but are in the interest of ICR and help other areas when needed

Minimum Qualification
  • Clean background for Security Clearance check
  • No Defaulted Student Loan
  • High School Graduate
  • At least two years post-secondary education in business related field is preferred
  • Minimum of three years office experience in student loans collections or servicing
  • Knowledge of business principles
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Must be proficient in communicating with consumers and various professional staff
  • Experience with monitoring contracts is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of audit review practices is a plus
  • Must have reliable transportation
