Alarm.com is seeking an exceptional HRIS professional to become our Workday guru and support the team and company in our systems-related initiatives. We are looking for a dynamic and system-minded individual who is an organized self-started to join our HR Operations team based out of headquarters in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia.
The HRIS Analyst will play an integral role in supporting our HRIS integrations, configuration, and reporting functions practices. This job requires an expert understanding of Workday reporting and advanced reporting functionality. The team member will partner with stakeholders to analyze system & process issues along with enhancement opportunities. They will develop requirements documentation for various business initiatives and partner with other Systems & IT resources to configure, test & deploy solutions.

Oversee the completion of projects, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work and evaluating results
Partner with HR Business Partners to enable the effective use of core HR and integrated systems and workflow solutions
Test and implement changes in the HRIS (Workday)
Maintain documentation and procedures for audit and tracking of tasks
Collect, analyze, interpret, and distribute HRIS data for company-wide reporting
Create, design, and implement custom Dashboards and UI improvements
Troubleshoot problems, conduct work flow analysis and streamline processes to improve overall efficiency, and efficient use of technology
Train end-users on new processes/functionality as needed. Help with the training of new users
Prepare new reports from HRIS (Workday), and manipulate existing report variables in order to generate ad-hoc reports
Responsible for data integrity and quality assurance of all data
Conduct user experience sessions with various stakeholders (employees, managers, HR Partners, etc.) to identify opportunities for improvement and collect voice of customer
Develop, test and deploy new features in support of company needs and within the application update cycles
Gather business requirements and map to system capabilities
Perform configuration changes in accordance with application procedures
Provide production support to ensure business processes execute as planned
Deploy application changes in a timely & quality manner
Lead implementation and maintenance activities for the application areas assigned
Regularly assess current state of services and proactively identify areas of opportunity for improvement
Understand objectives of business processes related to the technology
Maintain the system configuration, reporting and calculated field designs for the assigned functional areas
Translate business process design into functional requirements
Define, develop and deliver operational metrics for the operating performance of the assigned functional areas
Manage and participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree or higher required
3+ years’ experience with configuring and managing an HRIS system (Workday preferred)
Working knowledge of system integrations and integration techniques.
Experience with report writing software.
Excellent query and reporting analytical skills.
Demonstrated project management & ability to work under pressure.
Demonstrated creative thinking skills.
Experience communicating across all corporate levels including interfacing with top execs (we are an open-door culture)
Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to write and maintain documentation.
Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple processes and priorities at once (people who love it here are the types who wake up wanting to “attack work” and who have fun doing it)
Ability to exercise sound judgment, to work well under pressure, take initiative, be flexible, handle highly confidential information appropriately and have exceptional attention to detail.
A very high degree of personal integrity and maturity including the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
Flexibility and willingness to scale from tactical to strategic with no ego (you will be part of a healthy, collaborative, fast talking and fast-moving HR team)
Workday Certifications are strongly preferred
