Job Overview

This internship is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement. This position will be part of the Operational Excellence team and will assist with projects, events and planning activities for the Operations Department.

Responsibilities

Further Develop and maintain standards across OE websites (e.g. SharePoint)
Assist in the deployment and development of various communication mediums including intranet, Wiki, SharePoint and other websites and publications
Develop and demonstrate creative thinking aligned with department/project strategies
Assist in facilitating Continuous Improvement events and workshops and/or in teaching a TOS/Lean Module
Assist with coordination and execution of various department functions
Assist with Six Sigma Projects/Continuous Improvement events

Qualifications

Minimum junior level in a Bachelor’s degree program (or have graduated in the last 12 months) required

GPA of 3.0 or higher required

An attached resume is required

Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Business required

Full time availability onsite from May 2018 through August 2018 required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office required

Strong communication skills, spelling, grammar, professional and business communications such as memos, emails, presentations etc. required

Strong PC skills ,SharePoint, etc. (Able to demonstrate) required

Ability to facilitate and lead small group discussions/events required

Ability to type quickly and accurately (approx. 40+ wpm) required

Ability to multitask required

Ability to work independently and as part of a team required

Focused, professional, organized, reliable and responsible required

Quick learner in a dynamic work environment required

Professional appearance and demeanor required

Preferred

Experience and/or knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma

Experience with website development or using website creation tools

SharePoint customization or XML development

Previous work experience in an office environment

Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment
