The Chief Technology Officer is the senior executive with overall responsibility for the vision, leadership, and implementation of company-wide technology initiatives. This includes overall technology, hardware and infrastructure, software development, project management and delivery, data, resource, internal and external communications and governance strategies. This role is also responsible for defining and executing the annual IT objectives and plans, aligned with the broader business objectives and plans, including delivering results on Budget, on Scope, on Time. Reporting to the President of the Company, the CTO will work closely with Senior Management across all departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support secure solutions enabling employee productivity.
Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization; includes infrastructure, architecture, software and software development, data strategy, sourcing, application strategy, hardware, project management and IT processes
Develop/manage a strong IT team that is committed to exceptional customer service, high availability of IT services and systems and rapid response to critical business needs
Ensure the development of documentation, including appropriate policies and procedures and managing adherence to those corporate IT standards.
Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development.
Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
Establishing and maintain procedures for data security, including protecting customer data and following PCI standards
Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.
Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance.
Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.
Select and implement suitable technology to streamline operations and optimize strategy
Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management or related discipline.
Minimum 15+ years of experience in the technology field
Minimum 7+ years’ experience in leadership or management in an IT setting
Highly Technical. You have well-developed technical skills including strong cloud migration experience, with an ability to work collaboratively across functional areas. You have a strong understanding of networking, systems architecture and administration, including troubleshooting experience with internet architectures.
Experience with or knowledge of C#, .NET and SQL
Ability to drive organizational change and build capabilities that effectively balance the needs between continuously exploiting capabilities to optimize operational efficiency and delivering innovative and agile IT solutions.
Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management
