This position will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of stator production and supporting department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in facility by performing the following duties:
Establish or adjust work procedures and assignments to meet production schedules and prevent downtime. Plan and coordinate work assignments based on skills, knowledge, experience, man hours, machines, and tooling to the best advantages to obtain the most favorable manufacturing costs, quality, and workmanship.
Analyze manufacturing problems. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of manufacturing process, department, or work crew.
Maintain required paperwork such as safety records, sectional records, Kronos system, attendance, productivity, customer delivery, vacation schedules, scrap reports, and quality reports. Prepare periodic reports for the appropriate individual concerning these issues.
Confer with engineering and production personnel on such matters as cost reduction, scrap elimination, new product development, preventative maintenance, quality control, work assignments, and other relevant matters.
Enforce company policies, safety rules and regulations to employees. Meet with hourly personnel to help resolve individual issues.
Conduct safety and Tool Box communication meetings.
Initiate or suggest plans to motivate employees to achieve production records and decrease absenteeism.
Provide appropriate training for new employees. Train assigned employees based on knowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures, or services.
Maintain a clean and safe work area to decrease potential safety hazards with emphasis on 5S+1 principles.
Keep current on new techniques and equipment.
Ensure clear, concise and effective communication between shifts.
Bachelor’s degree from four year college or university preferred.
Two to three years experience required to include time spent as a Supervisor to become familiar with products, methods, and techniques.
