Your role in helping us shape the future:
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, innovative, and driven individual to join our team. As Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Communications, you will be a critical player in achieving Intelsat’s aggressive growth plans and will work closely with senior management stakeholders to formulate, communicate, and manage the Intelsat story. You will have overall responsibility for developing and driving Intelsat’s marketing and communications strategy and overseeing the execution of all aspects of that strategy, including internal and external communications and the marketing strategy worldwide, as well as positioning the company in the market (including Executive positioning). You will propel Intelsat and its messaging into the next century, modernizing our marketing and communications practices, defining the messaging and the tone of voice, and unifying and simplifying our content. You will have oversight of marketing channels to meet short- and long-term strategic objectives. You will lead, manage, and upskill a team of dynamic and dedicated professionals and elevate Intelsat’s brand, demonstrating our capabilities to the market, supporting and liaising closely with internal teams and external stakeholders and improving customer engagement. You will liaise with internal customer segments: media, broadband, mobility and government as well as the Sales and Pricing teams and others, providing reliable customer service and value-added support and ensuring internal alignment.

Are you up to the challenge?

You will work directly with the CEO on external messaging and company positioning and support his articulation of company mission, vision and strategy.
Develop a strategy for Intelsat’s marketing and corporate communications teams utilizing a modern and innovative voice to elevate and position our brand in a highly competitive changing environment
Develop the strategy for and the messaging as well as the tone of voice, and maintain on an ongoing basis
Transform the way we do business, and modernize Intelsat’s marketing and corporate communications practices and simplify and manage all content
Lead and drive Intelsat’s internal (in collaboration with Human Resources VP) and external Communications and the teams responsible for doing this important work
Position Intelsat products, services, and Executives to be able to achieve all stated targets and objectives
Lead teams to greatness including marketing channels, regional marketing teams, digital marketing, and corporate communications teams
Develop metrics and ensure most effective return on marketing dollar investment
Proactively scan business environment and recommend new marketing and communications strategies and manage action plans

Can you drive these processes?

Develop drive and align teams around marketing and corporate communications strategy worldwide; Understand changing market dynamics and adapt marketing and communications campaigns and messaging specific for regions, developing and redeveloping and updating marketing materials as often as needed.

You should definitely have:
15 years+ of progressively responsible experience leading Marketing teams
A background in journalism, public relations agencies, advertising agencies, and on the client side
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field
Experience managing and overseeing a P&L Marketing budget
Cutting edge knowledge of marketing and communications’ best practices
Experience in positioning new products to the market at a commercial company, and marketing and promoting managed services
The ability to understand business needs and translate into actionable marketing plans aligned with the business strategy and focused on driving sales
The ability to write, edit and proof-read content in impeccable language
Change management experience in a fast-paced, changing environment
The ability to work collaboratively with leaders across the organization in support of their communications needs.
The experience and ability to work in a multinational and multi-cultural customer and stakeholder environments, and an understanding of local and regional specificities globally.
An understanding of the telecommunications world

And it would be nice if you had:
An MBA or a Masters’ degree in business, marketing or comparable discipline
Experience leading Marketing teams at a high-tech managed services company
Understanding of the satellite industry
