What you will be doing
This position plays an integral role in developing, delivering and selling data-driven solutions to clients as part of evolving our Reimbursement Policy Analytics offering . At Xcenda we are passionate about helping our clients anticipate reimbursement challenges and creating targeted reimbursement and health policy solutions that maximize patient access at every stage of the product life cycle.
As a Reimbursement Policy Analytics Lead, a typical day might include:
Serving as a senior member of the Reimbursement Policy Analytics service offering as part of the Reimbursement & Policy Insights team
Maintaining current, and developing new, client relationships around quantitative health policy analytics with a focus on pharmaceuticals
Refining and further develop relevance and breadth of existing RPA offering
Overseeing and reviewing quantitative policy analyses, including claims data analyses, Medicare payment system analyses, and budget score models to prioritize issues that inﬂuence client’s ability to operate eﬀectively as an innovative company
Managing company’s data repository and coordinating across corporate units to maximize use of available data for client projects
Monitoring policy strategies and initiatives that address key issues in health care environment, including pharmaceutical coverage/access and reimbursement, and provide strategic consulting services to clients to support clients’ business priorities
Identifying how legislative and regulatory issues will affect clients and their portfolios, and using a variety of data sets, provide insights to internal team members and external clients regarding emerging policies to inform Xcenda’s business development strategy
Securing opportunities and writing new business development proposals, and coordinate with cross-company team members for RFP responses and presentations
Serving as engagement lead on client initiatives as well as technical expert for Hill briefings at meetings with government agencies and committees, including CMS, MedPAC, CBO, and OMB
Developing content marketing materials that highlight Xcenda’s understanding of reimbursement, policy, and economics issues
Performing interviews and contribute to various industry publications on AmerisourceBergen’s behalf as policy subject matter expert
Training, supervising, and serving as coach/mentor to members of Reimbursement Policy Insights team, particularly those involved in analytics
Coordinating with scientific division to enhance cross-functional sales for clients, including projects focused on value, quality, and health economics and outcomes
What your background should look like (minimum qualifications)
Graduate degree in public policy, healthcare policy or law, or another related field
Minimum of 7+ years relevant healthcare policy and reimbursement experience
Quantitative analytical skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SAS
Experience and comfort with existing Medicare and commercial data sets
Deep understanding of Medicare payment policies, particularly related to pharmaceuticals and associated services
Experience in a wide range of topics, including coverage, coding, and payment across commercial and public payers, drug distribution and specialty pharmacy, and patient support services
Ability to translate detailed technical information to others with limited experience in policy or quantitative analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills to convey complex and changing legislation, regulations, and their impact
Ability to travel 25-30%
