Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial/Commercial Carpenter to join our team. As an Industrial/Commercial Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of manual labor tasks associated with many facets of the construction job site including preparing worksites, setting up equipment and hauling in material, door hanging, flooring installation, metal stud framing, roof repair, blueprint reading, and masonry. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and other items of wood and steel.
Duties:
- Perform rough and finish carpentry
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation
- Inspect areas and conduct repairs or maintenance to woodwork, steel, plaster, concrete or other building materials
- Fabricate and install fixtures, doors, and other carpentry components
- Build and set concrete forms, use level instrument, tie rebar, pour and finish concrete
- Perform general cleanup
- Install various types of flooring materials
- Conduct metal and wood stud framing for construction projects
- Conduct roof repairs and maintenance
- Perform masonry work, including bricklaying and blockwork
- Build scaffold
- Dig with hand tools and/or equipment
- Assist in other construction facets our company performs
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a carpenter or similar role
- Strong knowledge of use of PPE, LOTO, safe work ethics and permits
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to work in any condition (extreme heat, cold, tight areas, kneeling, at heights, etc)
- Proficient knowledge of construction tools, equipment, methods and building code
- Proficient in door hanging, metal stud framing, wood stud framing, roof repair, and blueprint reading
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well along and with a team
- Effective communication skills
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Ability to pass a background check
