Our International Retail Operations team is seeking to hire a Workforce Management (WFM) Program Manager to lead work in support of the 15,720 stores (and growing), in 81 countries around the world.
As an International Retail Operations WFM Program Manager, you will drive operational excellence in all international markets by creating an international Workforce Management Center of Excellence. You will directly support the China and Japan markets, along with the Asia Pacific(AP), Latin America and Caribbean (LAC), and Europe Middle East (EMEA) Regional offices. This role requires you to have a basic understanding of labor and work in partnership with regional teams to identify and create strategies, plans and solutions that will improve licensees flow through, impact profitability and build market partner acumen. You will liaise with internal teams, clients and sponsors on program related matters, providing strategic direction, operations expertise and leadership.
As a WFM Program Manager, you will…
Set up and lead an international Workforce Management Center of Excellence. Define an approach, or framework, for labor investment; Creating an ecosystem of tools, support and acumen that when working together help our partners deliver the Starbucks Experience while managing the business
Be the primary point of contact and communicator between enterprise functional teams, international regional and market teams on all international Workforce Management related matters. You will Streamline requests, coordinate communications, share plans and provide dedicated expertise that will support regional and market teams, create consistency and ensure the right problems are being solved that impact profitability. You must be able to work flexible hours.
Consult, collaborate and provide a level of subject matter expertise (SME) across international with a deep understanding of business analysis & problem solving, teaching & training others, and operations. You will work with business leaders, stakeholders and functional teams to identify problem areas, conduct analysis with potential solutions. You will consult with stakeholders and influence leaders on what direction to take along with strategies and plans to improve performance. You will consult with teams on business requirements for WFM retail systems.
Identify and understands international market nuances and how to navigate a complex business environment. Working closely with international regional teams to balance a consistent approach to WFM while meeting market needs
Ensure program guardianship, adjusts priorities to meet business needs and bring in the right people at the right time to align, inform or consult. Monitor program/project progress and solve problems that arise. Make sure all teams working on a problem, program, or project know the business goal and objective, and work towards accomplishing the goal
Lead multiple priorities across multiple international markets. Responsible for developing, updating and delivering international WFM materials and tools, and building WFM acumen across key international market functions and regional teams.

Summary of Experience
Multi-unit responsibility with retail operations understanding
General understanding of analytics and data
General business experience in large, matrixed organizations
Managing complex large-scale business projects
Working with end-users to define workflows and integrate business processes and technology into effective business solutions
Building, leading and mentoring teams
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical skills with ability to simplify and structure complex and ambiguous problems
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to present complicated material in a concise and effective way
Project management skills for large and complex problems involving multiple sub-teams
Ability to build collaborative relationships with business partners
Ability to positively contribute, lead and establish cross-functional, teams
Ability to mentor and develop others
Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
