SCAD seeks a Professor of Foundation Studies to inspire students as they develop innovative solutions, advance their drawing and design skills, and build the visual language essential to their future creative careers.
Ideal candidates will have a strong portfolio of professional work and the ability to teach design and drawing classes in an active and engaging learning environment. The university has a specific need for faculty who can teach design classes such as Color: Theory and Application, Creative Thinking Strategies, and Design III: Time. Drawing classes include traditional observation approaches as well as classes such as digital drawing, drawing for storyboarding, and life drawing classes. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred

Through rotating exhibitions at SCAD museums and galleries and the university’s extensive permanent collection, you and your students will have exclusive access to objects of study at the SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah, SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film in Atlanta, and the university’s numerous galleries.
