As an Experience Designer on the Small Business / Cash Flow Insight Digital team, you will focus on creating digital experiences for Small Business owners across the full customer journey shopping for an account, applying and opening an account or payment service, and accessing and using accounts, products and payments services. You will have knowledge of user experience design, visual design, design thinking, and digital project management.
You will also be an important part of the PNC Digital team and have working knowledge of the following preferred skillsets:
- Experience creating digital experiences for mobile apps, responsive applications and websites
- Experience with Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Invision, or other prototyping software
- Working knowledge of the end-to-end design & development process for apps and websites
- Understanding of design thinking and communicating design thinking concepts within an organization
- Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and how they turn into real business results
- Advocate for human-centered design - know how to turn data and insights into tangible design solutions
- Understand how to conduct quantitative user research (usability tests, moderated user interviews, etc) and synthesize findings for a non-design audience
- Translate business and customer requirements into customer journey maps, storyboards, wire-frames, high fidelity mock ups, prototypes, and any other needed visuals for product, project and strategic ideas
- Use and understand modern interaction design patterns and best practices
- Strong visual and communication design skills to help deliver value through an experience that is engaging and intuitive
Supports the transformation of tasks into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs through the entire experience lifecycle, from the first-time user to the expert.
Identifies and discovers customer and business needs through contextual inquiries, and generative and quantitative research, and identify solutions to meet those needs. Makes decisions of significant customer impact from wide array of possibilities, not limited to the Banking Industry.
Executes visual, information, interaction, and service design elements of the initiative that meets business and customer needs and delights customers. Communicates the initiative and product to others (Team Members) through user journeys, storyboards, prototypes, wireframes, and other materials.
Gauges the usability of new and existing products, and make constructive suggestions for change.
Conducts research studies and present findings that will inform improvements in the customer experience.

User Interface Design Knowledge of activities, practices, deliverables and considerations; ability to design effective graphic user interfaces for delivery of information to the client's desktop workstation.
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
