Basic Job Functions:
Support sourcing, integration and management of new corporate and institutional customers in the US solar market.
Participate in customer account planning, and the execution of business strategies to secure module & system sales and power purchase agreements.
Lead organization and documentation of commercial responses.
Perform analyses of competing renewable technology types (wind, poly/mono-silicon PV, etc.), and competitor projects.
Lead cross-functional teams to prepare bid case assumptions
Review and audit project models produced by others to ensure accuracy.
Create and maintain database(s) to track pricing proposals, and market clearing prices of power purchase agreements and system sales.
4+ years of experience in energy marketing, power project development, project finance, or other power/energy experience.
Understanding of power markets and economic drivers of power plant development.
Financial modeling of power projects or other assets
Bachelors and/or Graduate Degree, in Economics, Engineering, Business, Government, Public Policy or related discipline
Understanding of power/energy markets, ISO/RTO market function and stakeholder process
Proven analytical, communication and presentation skills.
Enthusiasm and demonstrated ability to motivate team
Knowledge of solar, sustainability and environmental policies, issues, and benefits.
Understanding of applications for photovoltaic solutions and CdTe technology
Excellent understanding of SNL.com, Morningstar, Salesforce.com, Tableau and MS Office.
Familiarity with ABB/Ventyx, SNL, Wood Mackenzie and/or similar tools and services
Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs
Responsible for gathering and internal reporting related to pricing proposals RFP responses, and real-time market feedback
Lead cross-functional teams to prepare RFP response packages
Build and maintain customer and commercial database in Salesforce.com
Gather real-time market feedback, perform market analyses and evaluate market parameters in coordination with Project Development, Government Affairs and Project Finance
Attend relevant state, ISO/RTO stakeholder, or industry organization meetings/conferences in order to monitor issues and trends of importance to First Solar.
Track and understand customer perspectives on relevant regulatory and power market issues.
