St. Luke’s Health System is currently seeking a Clinical Educator to join our team in Boise under the direction of our Clinical Learning Director for our Clinical Learning and Student Services department!
The Clinical Educator plans, supervises, coordinates and evaluates education programs for clinical personnel. Provides clinical education and evaluation to clinical staff and facilitates evidence-based research within a specialized area. This position will partner with leaders and oversee the 7 areas of educator standard work: orientation and onboarding, professional development, education (plan, design, develop and evaluate), ongoing competency, evidence-based practice, oversight of students and preceptor preparation. This role also partners with educators across the system.
WHAT WILL I DO? This position will support St. Luke’s Telehealth programming and associated teams in our Virtual Care Center (VCC). Currently, these programs include TeleICU, Transfer Center, Remote Patient Management, TeleStroke, and multiple specialties delivered to our rural clinics. In addition, this role is responsible for implementation of clinical education for assigned population health areas. This person needs to have strong interpersonal skills, be very detailed, and have excellent communication skills. They must be accountable to their work and maintain a positive attitude. Also, must be willing to have fun, work hard, and have a true passion for best practice within education! Our ideal candidate is someone who has experience in informatics and curriculum design.
Develops, implements and oversees the orientation and/or education of staff.
Designs or collaborates in designing educational curriculums, classes and activities.
Evaluates effectiveness and outcomes of educational endeavors.
Acts as a facilitator, consultant, and leader in area of expertise.
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
Provides education consistent with current protocols, procedures, evidence, and Magnet (as appropriate).
Devises and maintains strategies to ensure professional development.
Coaches program participants and/or unit practitioners.
Develops education to meet regulatory standards and all related policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Manages multiple complex education projects.
May provide input into the employee evaluation process, counsel employees and/or recommend initial discipline and other personnel actions.
Bachelors’ Degree in Nursing
4 years’ related experience
Knowledge and/or experience with informatics
