Clerical Receptionist

Pension (Las Vegas)

Provide services for the Claims, Contribution Accounting or Pension Department.

Responsibilities include:
Answering phone calls; greeting, identifying, and assigning participant/retiree inquiries to appropriate departmental staff.
Opening, date stamping, logging, counting and distributing mail within the department on a daily basis.
Coordinating appointments with pension processors; performing clerical duties as required (typing, filing, copying, microfilm and microfiche research, etc.).
Keeping reception area stocked with forms and booklets.
Assisting retirees with address changes, stop payment orders, and direct deposit inquiries.
Assist in completion of income forms from various agencies.
Assists in processing of Annual Certification Letters.
Cuts checks.
Document ETK system as required.
Must meet the department's quality and production standards for this job, as provided on the work standards grid.

Minimum Education & Experience

HS or GED.
Minimum of one year experience as a Receptionist in a professional office.
Bilingual required.
Mental/Visual Concentration or Manual Dexterity

Requires normal concentration easily learned, simple movements

Computer Operations

Must be PC literate.
General knowledge of MS Word, and MS Excel.
Typing score of 35 WPM general knowledge of 10-key.
Physical Work Environment

Normal degree of physical effort in typical office environment with comfortable, constant temperatures and absence of objectionable elements
May be subject to interruptions
May be required to lift a maximum of 25 lbs
Meets established attendance and punctuality guidelines
