This position is a pivotal role within marketing in moving initiatives forward, as well as helping establish a long range plan to fuel portfolio growth. This would include maximizing revenue and gross profit for products in the pharmaceutical division by providing market analysis, branding influence, and strategic planning within this portfolio.
This position is heavily reliant on interacting with multiple Fresenius Kabi business functions including product development, regulatory, project management, manufacturing, business analytics, contract marketing, customer service, sales, and national accounts. The individual must be able to successfully facilitate and complete projects in a “dotted line” environment. They must be able to work independently, as well as have the ability to prioritize issues, deal with ambiguity and manage conflicting deadlines.
Develop and maintain an understanding of product group assignment, including current and future market trends, products, and competitors.
Assist in strategy for existing portfolio of products especially in the Specialty/Alternate Site channel.
Lead execution of assigned product launches and line extensions, including the development of product forecasts, pricing strategy, and sales collateral.
Develop collaterals ensuing compliance with brand positioning and guidelines, and alignment with Digital Plan.
Support development and implementation of healthcare professional programs, KOL’s and Advisory boards
Ongoing interface with field, managing customer requests and product requirements.
Conduct continuous surveillance of the environmental landscape in order to assess and make recommendations of future needs both organizationally and product focused to achieve business goals.
Actively work with business analytics team in sales tracking tools to effectively manage sales/marketing programs and increase contract compliance.
Provide pricing recommendations to help maximize product sales and gross profit. Serve as a resource and partner in the various sales channels such as specialty distributors, wholesalers, and group purchasing organizations. Work with national accounts, trade relations, business analytics, and contract marketing.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align forecasting goals between the market unit (MU) and the production unit (PU). Work with manufacturing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure accurate and timely forecasting for new and existing products. Includes performing a monthly analysis of SAP versus marketing forecast to manage
Assist on preparation of presentations for senior management pertaining to strategic planning and forecasting.
BA or BS required; a graduate degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years work experience with 3-5 years of experience in the healthcare industry required. Experience in the Oncology/Specialty hospital business a plus.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in at least one of the following areas preferred: Oncology, Specialty marketing, sales, contract marketing, business analytics, project or portfolio management.
