JOB TITLE: Early Learning Center Lead Teacher/Group Supervisor

We serve children from the ages of 6 weeks through Pre-K. Our core hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. We are seeking full time teachers for our brand-new facility located at the Alexander Grass Campus for Jewish Life.

JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Teacher/Group Supervisor plans, directs and implements curriculum to create and maintain a supportive learning environment. Provides leadership for the classroom and maintains the high quality standards of the Early Learning Center. Ensures compliance with all DHS regulations and Keystone STARS standards. Provides excellent care and education for children and builds strong collaborations with families. Assists the Director with designated activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship building and leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- An ability and willingness to occasionally work evenings.
- Must be able to do a considerable amount of walking, standing, bending, stooping and lifting up to 40 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodations.
Shall have attained at least one of the following qualification levels:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children.
- An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 2 years of experience with children.
- An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Must pass a pre-employment health assessment, conducted by a physician, physician’s assistant or CRNP. This includes, but is not limited to, Tuberculosis screening.
- Must satisfactorily complete all pre-employment backgrounds checks required by The Child Protective Services Law (CPSL).
