Telspan Data is looking for experienced talent in software development and engineering. As a supplier of defense and commercial aviation flight test technologies and products Telspan Data designs, develops, and manufactures critical test instrumentation systems, airborne hardware units, advanced software programs, and real-time data processing, display and analysis systems.

Candidate must be a US citizen and meet eligibility requirements for DoD security clearances.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Candidate will provide software development in support of Telspan Data products and customer driven projects. Candidate will develop, debug, and maintain software applications and modules. Other tasks will include hardware/software interfaces and functionality, documentation of newly created software with detailed technical specifications and create user manuals, as well as maintaining configuration control, problem reports and resolution tracking.

Education Requirements, Skills and Experience Necessary:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.

Candidate must possess an extensive knowledge of and experience in the following areas;

  • C/C++/C# core development of Microsoft Windows applications and services in managed and unmanaged code environments.
  • Software based decoding, processing and display environments of high bandwidth data in real-time multi-threaded applications and services.
  • PC hardware data interfaces including real-time USB and Ethernet producers/consumers.

Knowledge in the following areas is highly desirable;

  • DirectShow, DirectDraw, Direct3D and OpenGL.
  • Real-time video and imagery processing.
  • Instrumentation and avionics data formats to include Mil-Std-1553, ARINC 429, IRIG-106 Standards (Chapter 4/8/9/10) and IRIG-200 Time Standard.

Candidate must possess proven ability to work with a team of geographically dispersed software developers and engineers in the specification, design, and operational implementation of software solutions; and be able to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
