Supportive Care Program Analyst

DaVita Medical Group - El Segundo, CA

The Supportive Care Analyst is a vital contributor to understanding and predicting the drivers of hospitalizations and developing interventions to keeping patients healthy and at home. This role focuses on serving highly vulnerable patients in the Southern California market, with responsibilities including data collection and analytics to develop insights and tools for regional and market-level leaders.

Essential Functions:
Develops data warehouse queries of patient eligibility, encounter, and inpatient utilization data
Builds analysis and reports on trends in inpatient utilization, underlying drivers, and intervention opportunities
Serves as a thought partner in developing models and tools to improve HealthCare Partners’ predictive analytics capability
Partners with HealthCare Partners’ regional communities across Southern California to implement clinical interventions developed by our team

Required Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s Degree, focus on a quantitatively challenging field preferred
Minimum two years of work experience in a role requiring data querying and analytics
Strong interest in healthcare

Key Skills:
Data analysis experience with high comfort level in MS Excel; other analytics platforms (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Python) are a plus
Interest in developing quantitative analysis, project management, and executive presentation capabilities
Proficiency in PowerPoint desired
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Creative, strategic thinker
