What You’ll Get to Do:
The Pricing Strategist plays an important role in Business Development (BD) and works closely with our Capture, Solutions Development, and Operations teams to develop pricing strategies and competitive discriminators aligned with customer requirements and preferences. The individual is relied upon to provide leadership, analysis, intellect, and pricing decision support for high value, complex opportunities throughout the BD lifecycle. Responsibilities include business value opportunity and risk identification and assessment with planned optimization and mitigations respectively. You will develop, analyze, and validate cost and business models and for various lines of business and contract types. Strategy execution and implementation will include leading pricing teams throughout the BD lifecycle, risk and opportunity analysis, business case development and analysis, the architecting winning price proposals, and the preparation and presentation of management briefings on pricing strategy, analysis, and associated business issues.
More About the Role:
Candidate must have the ability to lead the pricing team and manage the full pricing life-cycle for large scale (>$100M) proposals and leverage cross functional teams to ensure the timely generation of compliant price proposals with an emphasis on strategy and tactical implementation.
Performing new business opportunity qualification, pricing strategy and customer validation of value points, strategy execution, competitive and price-to-win analysis.
Lead cost strategies including cost/price modeling and approaches to differentiate and improve bid price evaluation.
Lead the formulation and approval of proposal strategies, themes, and discriminators in the context of the evaluation criteria and competitive environment.
Participate in analyzing the solicitation and direct the creation and approval of the price proposal outline and compliance requirements.
Perform as the primary lead on the Business Case and Pricing Model and associated analysis.
Work with BOE/Staffing Model personnel to ensure the BOE and associated outputs reflect the requirements for price model creating and proposal response.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Candidate must have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment while ensuring quality deliverables, excellent verbal, written, analytical and presentation skills, proficiency with spreadsheets and other MS Office applications.
Direct experience and accountability with all life cycle requirements and demonstrated ability for ensuring the timely generation of compliant and competitive pricing submissions and ability to interface with all levels of the customer organization and management is essential.
As a key contributor and a team player, you must have the ability to work with cross functional proposal teams and work independently to manage and lead the development of pricing strategies and strategy implementation from inception to completion.
Advanced professional expertise of principals, theories and concepts in pricing strategy and proposal price development plus broad and thorough knowledge of related fields.
Strong understanding of pricing and financial management concepts.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial data.
Strong business judgment.
Security Clearance preferred.
