Role Summary:
Ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials to support Gold Seal production and sales. Work to resolve Materials issues while achieving and maintaining critical Material/Inventory business metrics.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Overall ownership of material ordering, asset availability, and WIP planning for Gold Seal production
  • Oracle/GLPROD (ERP) expert
  • Ensure systemic accuracy of inventory
  • Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control)
  • Daily Shortage root cause investigation and resolution
  • Partner closely with suppliers focusing on: Packaging needs, min/max planning. Materials replenishment planning, root-cause problem solving as needed
  • Conduct daily walks on the floor and the receiving dock to investigate and resolve material issues
  • Supplier visits, as needed - internal and external
  • Manage Phase In / Phase Out (NPI) to minimize obsolete material
  • Provide supply analysis data and recommendations as necessary
  • Assist in cycle count efforts as determined
  • Support tool development for predictability of material issues
  • Support all lean activities, initiatives, and action workouts as determined
Quality Specific Goals: 1. Aware of, and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
4. Knowledge & understanding of production process work instructions & operates within them
5. Ensures the creation of accurate, complete and timely records and DHRs

Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree or HS diploma & 5 yrs material experience or production scheduling
2. Computer proficiency
3. Working knowledge of MRP
4. Excellent Interpersonal Skills
5. Strong problem-solving skills

Desired Characteristics:
1. APICS Certification
2. Oracle knowledge and experience
3. Six Sigma Green Belt
