This job contributes to the successful growth of our global store portfolio by delivering new development strategies informed by insights and analytics. This partner serves as the business lead in projects that explore and develop new solutions in store development to improve existing store performance as well as new store growth. Examples of solutions may include new insights and analytics, new customer service channels, and store formats. This partner will also contribute to the annual strategic planning process.
As a Strategy Manager, you will…
Leadership - Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together:
Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure a cross-functional team environment promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.
Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Company.
Planning and Execution - Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:
Identifies new growth solutions based on insights, analytics, and leadership direction and builds strategic perspective and deployment proposals for the executive team.
Plans and manages business unit and department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.
Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization.
Business Requirements - Providing functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities:
Creates structured presentations illustrating key business issues, new insights and recommendations. Communicates team recommendations to executive leadership team and field questions and concerns. Communicates learnings and insights across cross-functional team, strategy team leadership and executive sponsors. Develops strong working relationships with sponsoring executives related to project work.
Leads strategic project problem solving efforts by helping the team identify and define key issues, develop hypotheses and design required analyses. Provides problem solving leadership across entire project to cross- functional teams. Guides the team in thinking through complex and ambiguous issues, identifies creative information sources and approached and pushes the team to develop new insights. Oversees and reviews team analytics to ensure integrity and accuracy.
Reviews and provides guidance to cross-functional sub-teams in developing robust and detailed workplans. Manages overall project work plans, defining approach.
We’d love to hear from people with:
Experience in leading analytics solution development
Experience in data modeling solutions such as Alteryx and Databricks and visualization tools such as Smartsheets, Tableau, and Power BI
Experience developing corporate strategy
Detailed financial and statistical understanding
Ability to present complicated material in a concise and effective way
Ability to develop and communicate complex strategy up, across, and down
Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
Experience developing global business solutions preferred
Establishes and communicates a compelling and inspired vision, creates competitive winning strategies and plans, ensures department strategies are aligned with company strategies
Willing to take a managed risk to drive the business forward
