General Job Description

Tax collection work at a technical level for the Department of Taxes involving the collection of delinquent accounts. Work involves corporate, business and income tax accounts. Duties require frequent interaction by phone, mail, or in person, with delinquent taxpayers. Work is performed under the supervision of a Tax Compliance Unit Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

Three (3) years or more of experience in collection of debts, adjustment of claims, determination of financial responsibility, or investigation of financial background.
OR
Two (2) years or more of full-time college coursework or an associate's degree in business or public administration, accounting or public finance.
OR
One (1) year or more of experience as a Tax Compliance Officer I.
