Provide oversight of integrated services and programs that support student's academic and professional goals.
Supervise and oversight of the areas of Admissions, Student Services, and Financial Aid.
Provide oversight of the development, coordination, and execution of programs for students.
Responsible for coordinating, review, and annual update of the institutional Student Handbook/Code of Professional and Academic Conduct which includes policy changes and preparation of document for Board of Regents approval.
Serve as institutional advisor on student support services, Admissions, and Financial Aid and policies related to services to the student affairs officers on regional campuses.
Serve as a liaison between administration and student affairs representatives from each school including regional campuses. Coordinate and chair the Executive Student Affairs Workgroup (E.S.A.W.) meetings.
Coordinate institution-wide student services on all campuses.
Serve in an advisory capacity to all registered student organizations on their activities and projects for compliance with policies and procedures, to administrators, faculty and staff on student policies.
Serve as the primary advisor for the Student Government Association.
Serve as mediator or an unbiased arbitrator for students, faculty, and staff regarding non-academic complaints.
Work with all Schools and campuses to ensure that services provided are appropriate and equitable for all students.
Serve as project co-lead with Registrar for any new Banner Information System impacting student affairs.
Responsible for monitoring and managing use of student areas. Assist new HSC campuses or Schools with the set-up of student areas.
Develop and administer Student Affairs operational budget.
Develop and establish partnerships, memorandums of understanding and contracts with other higher education institutions and agencies for the betterment of student support services.
Bachelor's degree required in appropriate field based on assigned area of responsibility; eight years of professional and management experience in related area. Additional job-related education may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Terminal degree in education and/or counseling is preferred. Five years progressively responsible management experience.
